| I just found out that a friend of mine passed away yesterday. Jeff Hall was, for lack of any better term, a really cool guy. He was talented beyond belief and was a brilliant songwriter and singer. What set him apart even more was his unbelievable guitar talents. He's one person of whom I have always been in awe and sometimes even envious of his abilities. I wish I had known him more. He loved the Beatles and music and was an honest and loyal friend. Jeff and I lost touch a long time ago and only recently had become reacquainted. He told me about his battle with cancer, and about his wonderful wife, Lynda - he described her as his hero. I've not met her, but I can only imagine that she must be an amazing woman. Jeff had nothing but great things to say about her and their marriage. He was a good father and a loving husband. Lynda was truly blessed to have him in her life, and I know that she loves him very much. She took such good care of him and fought this fight right by his side the whole way. The family is, of course, in my prayers as they always have been, and I pray that Lynda and the kids will find the comfort they need right now. God has been good, even in the hard times. I believe that Jeff knew Jesus and we'll see each other again. Still, no matter how long until then, it will be too long until then. |
